The Department of State Services (DSS), on Monday evening, denied the trending news that it's Operatives invaded the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Monday and arrested the governor of the nation's apex bank, Mr Godwin Emefiele.
A one paragraph statement on Monday January 16, 2023 by the reputation manager of the DSS, Dr Peter Afunnanya, clarified the position of things, stating, however, that the said trending news report was "false and quite misleading".
Afunnanya said that the attention of the State Security Agency was drawn to the said news report which he described as a misleading 'fake news'. NNL.
