The Ebonyi State Ministry of Information has warned members of the public to disregard the trending video on social media against the Ebonyi State Governor, Engr Dave Umahi, arguing that it was blackmail and a campaign of calumny allegedly sponsored by those it described as "criminals and frustrated opposition elements and agents of enemies of the progress so far made by the Ebonyi State Governor.
A statement from the Ministry on Wednesday assured that the effort of the Ebonyi State Government in containing the plans of the alleged "enemies of peace who are painting Ebonyi State black", is yielding good fruits.
The statement read this: " Very soon these agents of blackmail and violent incursions in the state, together with their sponsors, will be exposed.
"Our dear governor cannot be distracted by these dirty deals of the enemies of the progress we have so far made. The governor will continue to punish them with more transformation programs to the Glory of God the Father.
" Once again, members of the public are enjoined to disregard the trending video showing a young idle boy and an agent of darkness saying unspeakable things against our governor", the Ministry stated. NNL.
