Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Senator Victor Umeh, on Wednesday, paid a sympathy visit to the Abuja home of Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, who represents Anambra South Senatorial District in the Senate, over the unfortunate gun attacks on his convoy last weekend.
Senator Ubah who is a lawmaker on the platform of Young Progressive Party (YPP), was ambushed and severely attacked along with his convoy on Sunday, this week, by a gang of yet to be identified gunmen at Nkwo Enugwu-Ukwu, in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra state.
Ubah escaped unhurt in the bloody attack because he allegedly rode in a bullet proof car which prevented bullet pellets from killing him. But his car and some of the SUV and Security patrol vehicles were badly damaged in the gun assault. About six of police escorts including some personal aides were killed in the attack.
Ubah's visitor, Senator Victor Umeh, a former lawmaker who represented Anambra Central in the 9th Senate, however expressed shock over the violent attack and urged Ubah to try and overcome the trumatic experience and continue to trust in God. Umeh thanked God for sparing Ubah's life and prayed God to grant eternal rest to the victims of the attack. NNL.
