Some vulnerable residents of Bauchi State, including widows, the elderly, and persons with disabilities, have received 20,000 bags of rice from the Aliko Dangote Foundation in collaboration with the state government.

Governor Bala Mohammed, at the flag-off ceremony at Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu Square, praised the foundation for its consistent humanitarian support, stressing that the intervention will greatly ease the burden on households during the holy month.

Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, said the programme ensures transparency and fairness in distribution, prioritizing the most deserving beneficiaries.

Recipients described the assistance as timely and impactful, celebrating the gesture as a boost to their Ramadan preparations and overall welfare. NNL.
