For his renowned leadership track records in every sphere of his public service assignments, and particularly for his great, uncommon feats in the nation's narcotics sector since assuming leadership of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig-Gen. Muhammed Buba Marwa, was, at the weekend, honoured with a Distinguished Public Service Award by the Vanguard Media Limited.

Marwa was recognized with the award on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the 2022 Edition of the Vanguard Newspaper Personality of the Year Annual Award Event, held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The award was presented to the former military Administrator of Lagos State and Nigeria's former Ambassador to South Africa, General Muhammed Buba Marwa, by an elegant and delectable Eko High Chief and the traditional Female Senior Special Assistant to the Oba of Lagos (Erelu of Lagos), Princess Abiola Dosunmu.

The award ceremony which was apparently a night of tinkles for the NDLEA boss and other distinguished awardees, was well attended by General Marwa's NDLEA officers, friends and admirers, who were on hand to rejoice with him.
