Joy, style, grand celebration was on display recently as Mr Chinonso Nnaedozie and Miss Chioma Mozie and members of their families, in-laws, friends and well wishes gather in the calm city of Ilorin, Kwara state to witness the wedding event and exchange of vows of the young couple.

Members of the Nnadozie's family, traveling from the east, west, north and southern parts of the country and outside Nigeria, converged in Ilorin, Kwara state on 25th April, 2026 to join in celebrating the solemnization of holy matrimony between their brother, Chukwunonso and his heartthrob, Chioma.

The once in a lifetime joining in holy matrimony between Chioma and Nonso (as he is fondly called) came after their traditional marriage which took place on the 6th of January, 2026 at late Simon Nnadozie's family compound in Unubi, Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra state.

The joy of the bride's family, the Mozie family of Nkpor and that of the groom's parents, Sir Solomon and Lady Nneka Nnadozie from Unubi, both in Anambra state, knows no bounds as friends, business associates and close acquaintances rallied to witness the beginning of the couple's marriage journey.

The Mozies family of Ukpor and that of Sir Solomon Ogechukwu and his wife, Lady Nneka Nnadozie, both families appearing in their best moments all through, witnessed their children, Nonso and Chioma take the, "Till Death Do Us Part", vow before the congregation at the All Saints Anglican Church, Ibrahim Taiwo road, Ilorin Kwara state capital.

In his sermon, Rt. Revd. (Dr.) Sunday Timothy Gbade Adewole, the Bishop of Ilorin, Anglican Diocese, who presided over the solemnization church service himself, admonished Nonso and Chioma to jealously guard their union against generational influences that are capable of threatening the peace of their home.

Bishop Adewole reading from different portions of the Bible about marriages, how and why God himself instituted union between a man and woman, for the two to become one in spirit, soul and body.

Making references from the good, bad and ugly marriages and the consequences, Adewole who led a team of six other officiating Anglican Priests, enjoined the newest couple to take a clue from their parents if they want to enjoy peaceful and enduring union.

Though no marriage can be totally free from peculiar challenges, the Clergy man encouraged the couple to make God the foundation of their union so that He can secure and ward off fearly darts targeted against them by enemies.

While emphasizing the need for studying and understanding one another's shortcomings, willingly forgiving one another according to Bible standards, the Clergy man pointed out that, "Marriage is not without its ups and downs. Do not think about divorce, because if you do, your children will suffer".

The Clergy man who also gave some reasons why present day marriages hardly stands the test of time, especially with the prevailing socio-economic situation in Nigeria and the need to shun the counsel of bad advisers to quit instead of striving hard to make it work when they encounter storms in their union reminded Nonso and Chioma that, "Marriages is all about packaging".

With proper packaging, believing and trusting in God, Bishop Adewole expressed optimism that as they cleave to each other in faith, God Himself will be the only third party and He will give them the power to overcome all marriage related challenges. He however nevertheless cautioned the new couple that, "Marriage is a journey of no return. And if you decide to return, life will never be the same".

Other events to mark the once in a life time celebration thereafter shifted from the church to the serene, Egbejina event centre, Asa Dam road where guests enjoyed not only some cultural dance display but assorted Nigerian dishes, winning and dining in appreciation for what God has done for the Nnadozie and Mozie family.

At the reception which lasted several hours after Nonso and Chioma were ushered in grand style into the well decorated hall, the couple was presented with gifts by friends and relatives from both Mozie and Nnadozie families, while all that were present to celebrate the union also went home with present from the groom's family.

The bridegroom, Nonso, who is the Manager of Solonna Steel, Ilorin, Kwara state, appreciated family members, friends, well wishers and business associates/acquaintances from far and near as he changed his status from a BOY to that of a MAN/MR is a testimony that God Himself made possible.

Joining their son in appreciating all that traveled from far and near to celebrate with them, Nonso's parents, Sir Solomon and Lady Nneka Nnadozie, said 25th April, 2026 is part of the journey God ordained about 35 years ago.

As he prayed that God grant all that attended the wedding of his son, Nonso and wife, Chioma journey mercies back to their respective destinations, Sir Solomon expressed appreciation to everyone else who had contributed in one way or another to the success of the events; from the church through the reception and wished them great rewards from God for their respective roles in making the day a memorable one.

The groom's aunt, Chinwendu Nnadozie, a renowned journalist, in an emotional outpouring of good wishes said to her nephew groom thus: "to the one I fondly call, 'Nor-nor', to God be the Glory for successfully walking out from bachelorhood into married life. I pray that God takes charge over everything that concerns you, grant you wisdom and also make your union fruitful as you start this journey of marital life with your wife, Chioma in Jesus Christ's name, amen".
