Prominent Nigerians, colleague journalists, friends, family members, associates and well-wishers, will, on Saturday April 29, 2023, gather in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, for the Islamic 8th Day Fidau prayer event of Hajiya Hawau Odee Yusuf, mother of frontline journalist and Managing Editor (Northern Operations) of THE NATION Newspaper, Alhaji Yusuf Alli.
The mother of the ace journalist passed on at the age of 89 years, just short of 90 years, last Sunday, April 23rd, 2023, in Ilorin, Kwara state.
Already, arrangements are in top gear to host dignitaries, top religious potentates, and a large crowd of mourners who are being expected at the Fidau prayer ceremony which promises to be a major assembly of both the high and mighty and the downtrodden in the Ilorin Emirate city.
According to the details of the elaborate Fidau event plan released by the family of the bereaved journalist, Alhaji Yusuf Alli, and which was tagged 'A Celebration Of Life: Fidau of Our Irreplaceable Mother, Hajiya Hawau Odee Yusuf', the Fidau will hold at 11am on Saturday April 29, 2023, at the M & M Event Center near St. Anthony Secondary School, Ilorin, Kwara state, North Central, Nigeria.
Hajiya Hawau Odee Yusuf was a devout muslim, prominent community leader and businesswoman who was said to have impacted on the life of a great majority of people in her community including those who came across her. NNL.
