All Progressive Congress (APC) exco's of Kukadi and Gundari Communities in Misau Local Government Area, have expelled the Bauchi State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the party membership at the ward level over alleged anti-party activities.

The exco members made their positions through its secretary, Aliyu Hassan Adamu, who read the letter while addressing the press at the NUJ secretariat in Bauchi.

He said the exco members, after several congress meeting, unanimously approved the expulsion of Alhaji Babayo Aliyu, the current chairman of APC at the community ward level from the party.

He explained that the APC chairman was invited several times to appear before the congress over his anti-party activities during the just concluded gubernatorial and assembly elections in the State, but he refused to honor our invitation, hence, the exco decided to take action based on its power to expel him from the party at the ward level.

He further explained that the Chairman was alleged to be sabotaging the party's progress when he was seen voting for only Assembly members leaving the gubernatorial ballot paper empty without voting for his candidate of his party, Retired Air Vice Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar.

He added that before the elections, the party chairman abandoned his responsibility for not participating in the party's activities.

In his response when contacted on phone, the Bauchi State APC chairman, Alhaji Babayo Aliyu Misau, condemned his expulsion by the group, " Saying the lack constitutional Power to expel me from the party in the ward"

The embattled chairman said he knew that the group were being sponsored by undemocratic people outside the party to cause and create problems in the party, and vowed to challenge them in the court of competent jurisdiction. NNL.
