The Acting Caretaker National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Governor Maimala Buni and the former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani along with the governors of Jigawa and Kebbi states, Mohammed Abubakar Badaru and Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, on Wednesday in Abuja, went into a crucial meeting ostensibly to resolve the current impasse in the APC.

This is coming after few days of the successful conduct of the party's ward congresses across the country, which was reported to be peaceful, despite alleged skirmishes and irregularities in some states during the ward congress exercise last weekend.

In Jigawa and Kebbi states for instance, the congresses were held in all the wards of the states, where the leaders of the party were said to be selected through a consensus process. NNL.
