Bauchi State Police Command, in joint operations with the local hunters, have repelled hoodlums and rescued kidnapped victim unhurt in Nabardo, Bauchi State.
This was made known in a press release by the Command PPRO SP Nafiu Habib and made available to newsmen Tuesday in Bauchi.
Habib revealed that "On the 06/01/2026 at about 1300hrs, a 45yrs-old father reported at the Divisional Police headquarters Alkaleri that on the 05/01/2026 his daughter (name withheld) aged 6yrs was lured by one Bilal Ya'u 'm' aged 20yrs who was a neighbour into an uncompleted building and forcefully had carnal knowledge of the minor.
"On receipt of the report, a team of detectives led by CSP Kadiri Danjuma, DPO Alkaleri, rushed to the scene and evacuated the victim to General Hospital Alkaleri for medical examination and treatment. The suspect was successfully arrested.
"During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the allegation against him, and further exposed that he sexually harassed the victim through both the vagina and anus. additionally, it was discovered that the suspect had sometimes in 2024 during the rainy season rape the same minor and was warned by the mother to stay away from her daughter.
"Investigation is still on and the suspect will be charged to court upon completion". NNL
