According to reports, DeVon Franklin and Megan Good have called it quits. Franklin filed for divorce at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles on Monday to end their 9-year marriage.
"We have decided to go into our futures separately, but forever connected," the couple explained in a joint statement to PEOPLE.
The couple continued, "We celebrate almost ten years of marriage together and an eternal love. There’s no one at fault. We believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love,” adding that they are “incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.”
After meeting while working on the 2011 film, "Jumping the Broom", the actress, 40, and motivational speaker, 43, were married in 2012. Their reasons for separation are unknown.
Meagan's husband took to Instagram a few weeks ago to support her new series on Amazon Prime, "Harlem." He also shared a trailer from the series with his 1.5 million followers on the photo-sharing app, so the news came as a surprise to many.
In the caption, he wrote, "Gushing about Good",
‘I’m so proud of my love @Meagangood! She’s one of the most talented actors on the planet AND she’s funnier than you may know but I’m so glad you finally get a chance to see her do it all as Camille Parks in the new Amazon show #Harlem @Harlemonprime!!’
Meagan responded in the comments to say: ‘My Loooove… thank you. Heart’ah’smilin. Love you!’
