The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has congratulated Penpushing Online Media, on the occasion of their 5th-year anniversary and annual lecture series.
According to the Police boss, the "significant milestone, celebrated on the 25th of July, 2023, marks five years of their unwavering dedication to delivering accurate and timely news to the public".
Penpushing Media, Agbetokun said, "has consistently demonstrated a commitment to journalistic integrity, professionalism, and unbiased reporting nurtured through the need for credible sources of news, earning the trust and respect of its audience".
The commendation by the Police boss as contained in a statement by the Police Force Spokesman, Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a newly promoted Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), said "Throughout its journey, Penpushing Media has exemplified the essence of responsible journalism by providing comprehensive coverage of local and global events, enlightening the public, and facilitating informed decision-making".
The IGP further commended Penpushing Media for their valuable contributions to the society and their steadfast efforts in upholding the principles of transparency and truthfulness while also observing their commitment to discussing matters of national interest at their annual lecture series.
The Inspector-General of Police, on behalf of the entire police workforce, however wished Penpushing Media continued success in its future endeavors, urging the platform to continue to excel in its journalistic pursuits and contributions to the betterment of the Nigerian society and the global community.
