The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadri Mohammed, has described the Publisher of LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Mr. Sam Ndah-Isaiah’s death as a monumental loss to the country in general and the media industry in particular.
Governor Mohammed in a press statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, which was made available to newsmen in Bauchi, said that he received the news of the demise of his friend and colleague with great shock and a sense of loss.
"The death of Ndah-Isaiah is no doubt a great loss not only to his family and the Nigeria Media but also to the organized private sector where he featured prominently and the political establishment of which he was a principal actor"
"Late Sam, though a pharmacist by training, his foray into publishing, democratize both the media ownership and content in Nigeria.A bold and highly ambitious person, late Ndah-Isaiah fought valiantly for his beliefs, particularly in politics whereas a patriot and nationalist, he stood for an indivisible Nigeria where justice, equity, and good conscience were not only preached but practiced"
"The grief occasioned by his death is bound to be heightened by the fact that he was relatively young. However, Nigerians are consoled by the fact that through sheer tenacity, solid vision and irrepressible enterprise, the late Sam Ndah-Isaiah, left some indelible footprints in the sands of time" The statement read
The Governor on behalf of the government and the people of Bauchi state extended his sincere condolences to the family of late Sam Ndah-Isaiah, the staff and management of the Leadership group, and the government and people of Niger state who have been thrown into mourning by the death of their illustrious son.
He prayed to God to grant his family and other Nigerians, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. NNL.
