The Special Adviser on Youth to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Sale Chiroma, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of allegedly working to destabilise Bauchi State and undermine Nigeria’s democratic system.

Speaking to journalists in Bauchi on Friday, Chiroma claimed that the FCT minister was plotting to disrupt the peace currently enjoyed in the state, warning that such actions could trigger wider national instability.

The allegations followed recent claims accusing Governor Bala Mohammed of supporting terrorism claims the adviser dismissed as false, malicious and politically motivated.

According to Chiroma, the accusations were calculated attempts to damage the governor’s reputation amid increasing political support ahead of future elections.

He maintained that Bauchi State remains one of the most peaceful states in the North, stressing that Governor Mohammed’s record as a former senator, minister and current governor reflects his commitment to unity and peaceful coexistence.

Chiroma called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently intervene, warning that failure to act could escalate political tensions nationwide.

He also urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to ensure professionalism and fairness in its investigations, cautioning against the misuse of anti-graft institutions for political purposes. NNL.
