On Day 3 of the 2026 National Police Day in Enugu, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and the Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, on Wednesday, carried out sensitization campaigns to educate members of the public on election violence and related offences, safe driving, as well as compliance with traffic regulations.

The engagements and interactive sessions were held simultaneously across Area Command Headquarters, motor parks, and bus stops within various Police Divisions in the Command. During the sessions, election stakeholders and drivers were provided with answers to questions raised.

Activities marking the celebration in Enugu State will continue on Thursday, 2nd April 2026 (Day Four), with the Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, presenting cheques to families of deceased personnel of the Nigeria Police Force on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

The State Command's Spokesman, SP Dan Ndukwe, said on Wednesday that the Commissioner of Police has again appreciated the citizens of Enugu State for their cooperation during the sensitization campaigns and other activities marking the Police Day.

He reassured them of the Command’s unwavering commitment to serving them better while upholding their rights and dignity. NNL.
