The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-Genetal Olakunle Nafiu, on Friday, felicitated with youth corp members and staff of the agency on the occasion of the Muslim Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The NYSC boss, in a statement on his behalf on Friday March 20, 2026 by Caroline Embu, Director, Information and Public Relations of NYSC, observed that the "Eid-el-Fitr represents a period of sacrifice, gratitude, peace, and compassion for others".
General Nafiu also stated that these values align closely with the enduring ideals of the National Youth Service Corps.
He further said that "As we observe this significant occasion, I encourage you to consistently demonstrate these virtues in your daily conduct as committed members of the NYSC community.
"Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to national unity, selfless service, and mutual respect, regardless of our diverse backgrounds. Our collective efforts are essential for fostering a more peaceful, cohesive, and prosperous Nigeria.
"May this season bring renewed strength, joy, and fulfillment to us all in our service to the nation. Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve. Barka da Sallah". the statement said. NNL.
