The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Enugu State on the successful completion of Ramadan and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The Police boss, in a statement by the Enugu Command's Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Daniel Ndukwe, a Superintendent of Police, however commends their prayers and urges them to sustain the values of peace, tolerance, and sacrifice that define the season.

To ensure a hitch-free celebration, the Commissioner of Police has ordered the strategic deployment of personnel, intelligence, and operational assets across the State, with intensified patrols and enhanced security presence at prayer grounds, recreational centres, and other public places.

He has also directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical Units to ensure effective supervision of deployments and operations, while strengthening collaboration with other security agencies throughout the period.

According to the statement, the Police CP, Bitrus Giwa "wishes all Muslim faithful a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration and urges residents to remain law-abiding and vigilant, and to promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station or via 08032003702, 08086671202, 112, 09134666668, or 09134448093".

He reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property and calls for sustained public cooperation. NNL.
