The former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has congratulated the former military President Ibrahim Babangida on his 81st birthday anniversary.
Prince Secondus, in his birthday wish to the former military leader, praised General Babangida for his unique leadership quality which he said had endeared him to many Nigerians across the geo-political divide of the country.
According to a statement on his behalf on Tuesday evening, August 16, 2022 by his Media Adviser, Ike Abonyi, Prince Secondus also noted General Babangida’s role in establishing the democratic infrastructures in the country, like the building of the National Assembly complex, the Aso Rock seat of power and the Supreme Court, all under the three arms zone.
Prince Secondus said that all these achievements set General Babangida out as a staunch believer in democracy. He recalled that in his three and half years tenure as PDP National Chairman, General Babangida was a utility source for guidance on how to deepen and grow the PDP and Nigeria's democracy.
Secondus finally prayed God to grant the former military president many more blissful years ahead to continue in his elderstatesmanly role to the nation. The ex-PDP boss prayed God to grant General Babangida the blessings of graceful aging. NNL.
