The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has cautioned Nigerians against fake recruitment portals inviting people to come to particular location for job placement interviews.
Disassociating itself from what it termed, job scam, N-HYPPADEC in a statement made available to journalists in Minna warned that the purported recruitment portal inviting applicants for a technical and practical screening exercise into the Commission is fake.
The statement from the Commission's Head of Press and Public Affairs department, Nura Tanko Wakili, said the information being circulated by the scammers are not only false but misleading hence should be disregarded.
Nura cautioned desperate jobless Nigerians, youths in particular against falling victim to criminals thereby endangering their lives following after non-existing job interviews which does not emanate from N-HYPPADEC.
"N-HYPPADEC is currently not conducting any recruitment exercise at its headquarters in Minna, Borgu or elsewhere", the statement pointed out.
The statement indicates that, "The attention of N-HYPPADEC has been drawn to purported invitation for a technical and practical screening exercise allegedly scheduled to hold at the Kainji Hydropower Station, New Bussa, Niger State".
“The information is false, misleading, intended to defraud unsuspecting job seekers and members of the public because the invitation did not emanate from N-HYPPADEC".
To avoid falling victim to fraudsters, the statement encouraged members of the public to disregard the fake recruitment exercise/portal, and to always verify information through the N-HYPPADEC official communications channels. NNL.
