Imo State Commissioner for Homeland Security and Vigilante Affairs, Dr. Ugorji Okechukwu Ugorji, has assured the people of Imo state of governor Hope Uzodimma's continuing commitment to the security and safety of lives and property in the state.
Ugorji gave this assurance on Christmas Day in his message of felicitations with the citizens of Imo state. While urging them to reflect on the reason for the celebration of Christmas, he charged them to be conscious of their security and that of the entire state, stating that the security of Imo is a collective responsibility of all citizens of the state.
Dr Ugorji said in his message: "Merry Christmas to all Imonites. May the message and meaning of the birth of Christ not be lost in the merriment and joy of the season.
"We must continue our individual and collective efforts towards the maintenance of security, which has allowed for peaceful celebrations in every part of the state.
