A Canadian non-government organisation tagged MEDA, in partnership with FAHIMTA Women and Youth Development Initiatives (FAWODY), have trained over 200 children aged between 11-18 on life-skills and prevention against rape.

The Executive Director FAWODY, Mrs Dinah Istifanus, disclosed this during a life-skills for boys and girls conference been organised for the youth at M. L. Audu Auditorium in Bauchi.

According to her, the project is a MEDA Nigerian-Way project aimed at supporting boys and girls of ages 11-18 on a life-skills to run out their life without any hitches.

Mrs Daniel, said the project was designed to also support 30 youths in each of the 7 LGA's centers being established on their educational background, cultural norms and financial assistance. She explained that the program is a 7 years project from 2020 to date and that the event was planned for 15 days to run the boys and girls on different modules of life challenges. The Executive Director further explained that MEDA Nigerian-Way project was executed in 7 LGAs comprising of Bauchi, Toro, Katagum, Jama'are, Dass, Warji and Ganjuwa respectively.

Other highlights of the event was a dancing and singing session as well as goodwill messages to Fahimta and the development partners. NNL.
