Enugu state governor, Barrister Peter Ndubisi Mbah, has received report of the Committee on Estate Development Companies Mapping, which was set up in August 2023.
Commissioner for lands and Urban Development Enugu, Engr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, who received the report on behalf of the governor in his office, said the governor Mbah administration is determined to diversify and increase the economy of the State.
He praised the Committee for submitting the report within the given time frame. The Commissioner however congratulated them for not just submitting a report but also doing so with picture evidence to back up every assertion made in the report.
Prince Ezeh disclosed that government will study the report and go a long way to set the ball rolling to sanitize the activities of estate developers in Enugu State. He maintained that the Peter Mbah administration has mapped out strategies to turn around the situation for the betterment of the state.
Presenting the report to the Commissioner, Chairman of the Committee, Surv. Ralph Chukwu, thanked Governor Peter Mbah and the Commissioner for Lands for finding them worthy to carry out the assignment.
Chukwu however stated that they were able to execute the job within the shortest period because the committee members were divided into sub-groups, adding that the members of the committee were united and cooperative in delivering on the job.
He stated that they collated dara on a total number of 126 estate developers operating in the State. Chukwu thanked the Ministry of Lands for being supportive and standing by them during the assignment, saying they were answerable to the Ministry any time they were called upon. NNL.
