The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christians Life Ministry, Pastor Dr. William F Kumuyi, is in Minna, Niger state capital, for the church’s Global Crusade commencing today, Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Trade Fair complex, Minna.

Pastor WF Kumuyi who arrived late Wednesday afternoon due to delayed flights from Lagos, paid private visit to former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), after a courtesy call on Governor Abubakar Sani Bello at the Government House.

Pastor W F Kumuyi who will be spending one week in Niger state, held closed door talks with his host, IBB during the ‘private visit’ which lasted for close to an hour. The subject of discussions between the two men was not made known to journalists.

At Government House, Minna, Pastor Kumuyi was received on behalf of Governor Bello by his Deputy, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmed Ketso, who said, “Kumuyi's arrival in Niger state signals an end to armed banditry in Niger state”.

The Governor expressed the hope that the visit by Pastor Kumuyi who is in the state ahead of today's commencement of the 6-days global crusade in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger state chapter, would bring good tidings to the government and people of Niger state.

According to the Governor, “We are happy to see you, you came to Niger state at the right time. We’re not in doubts the fact that your coming at this auspicious occasion, is going to be a blessing. We also believe our security situation is over by the grace of God Almighty.

“We thank God that our biggest Daddy, Pastor W F Kumuyi has decided to visit our state. His visit will mark the end of security challenges in our state otherwise known as one of the most peaceful states in the country in the recent past”, Governor Bello said as he assured the Cleric of the state government’s cooperation and support to the success of the crusade.

Pastor Kumuyi had earlier told Governor Bello that the aim of the visit to Niger state/crusade with the theme, ‘The God of all possibilities’, was to bless Niger state and its people beyond measures.

While praying for peace and an end to insecurity, Kumuyi said, “God is able to do all things in the lives of the people. God is so loving and always ready to bless his people and that is why we are confident that He will put smiles on the faces of the government and people of this state”. NNL.
