The Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar 111 has declared unalloyed support for the administration of governor Ahmed Aliyu in Sokoto.

The Sultan who made the pledge when he paid a Sallah Homage to the governor at the Sokoto Presidential Lodge further commended the governor for executing various people-oriented projects across the state.IMG 20260322 WA0167

While noting that the Sultanate Council has an unwavering support for the governor Ahmed Aliyu led administration’s transformative initiatives, Sultan listed some to include infrastructural development, feeding programmes, and empowerment schemes amonsgt others..

“We are very proud of our Governor, and we are 100 percent in support of what he is doing for the state. No amount of mischief can separate us. People should always fear God in whatever they say or post on social media,” Sultan appealed.

Talking on the issue of insecurity, the Sultan assured that the Sultanate Council would soon convene a meeting with all District Heads to explore avenues of complementing the state government’s efforts in addressing security challenges.

Sultan further admonished all and sundry to not only support and cooperation but also assist the state government to achieve its vision of a better Sokoto State.

Speaking earlier, Sokoto State governor, Ahmed Aliyu had assured of his administration's preparedness to commence the renovation of the palaces of all District Heads accros the state.

A statement by Abubakar Bawa, the Director General, Media and Publicity to the governor quoted his principal as saying renovation of the palaces will ensur befitting accommodation for the District Heads to discharge their responsibilities effectively being they closest traditional authorities to the grassroots.

"We are not unaware of the dilapidated conditions of many district heads’ palaces in the state. Very soon, we will commence their renovation, beginning with the palace of the District Head of Wurno,” the Governor said.

Governor Aliyu further reiterated his administration’s commitment to working closely with the Sultanate Council towards addressing critical challenges affecting rural communities, particularly insecurity, just as he promised to sustain the infrastructural development and urban renewal initiatives currently being implemented across the length and breadth of the state.

He also reassured that of his administration’s open-door policy, urging residents to freely offer suggestions and constructive advice that will help move the state forward. NNL.
