In a move aimed at improving media coverage and digital communication, the Office of the Senior Special Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor on Media has distributed Android smartphones to selected journalists and social media personnel.
The initiative, led by Comrade Mukhtar M. Gidado, seeks to strengthen the capacity of media practitioners covering government activities.
Represented by Alhaji Abdulwahab Muhammad during the presentation, the SSA said the programme was designed to equip journalists with tools that will enable them to perform their duties more effectively.
He explained that the support initiative would continue on a monthly basis to encourage excellence in media reporting.
Beneficiaries Nasir Shuaibu from correspondents' chapel and Sumayya Abubakar social media handles commended the gesture and described it as a morale booster for journalists covering government affairs. NNL.
