Taraba state governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, has assented to the N173,734,537,459 2023 fiscal year budget into law and lauds his administration's achievements in the past 7 years.
Gov. Ishaku spoke shortly after assenting the budget at the Exco Chamber in Jalingo, the state capital. He said the relationship he enjoys with the legislature in the state brought about his success.
According to him, he said “I'm delighted to sign into law the 2023 budget for the next fiscal year. I appreciate the Speaker and the members of the House of assemble for passing this bill into law. To achieve our laudable objective, we will ensure the monitoring of projects and the public complaint and accountability will be ensure to provide transparency and accountability.
“The 2023 budget is 13% higher than the 2022 budget and the details will be provided by the Commissioners for Budget and Planning. I sincerely thank the government parastatals for working with me to achieve our mandate. For the last 7 years, we've done the best possible to be done. I can now beat my chest and said that I've come and I've seen and I've conquered.
“I also thank the state citizens for electing me, and I've won numerous awards because of the citizens of Taraba. My administration scored 85% in our tasks to rescue the state”, he said.
In the same event, he also appointed Felix Danfulani Garkiya to serve as a ward coordinator of Ngada special development area. NNL.
