In a recent incident at Oke Agbe in the Akoko area of Ondo State, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Olubunmi Osadahun, faced an unexpected attack during the distribution of palliatives aimed at alleviating the impact of the government's fuel subsidy removal policy.
Reports gathered by Nigerian News Leader indicate that the attack was carried out by a man identified as Ollumide Awolumate, who holds the position of ward chairman within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The motivation behind this attack stemmed from allegations that the palliative distribution exercise was shrouded in secrecy by government officials.
