Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Bazuwa, member representing Potiskum Central constituency in the Yobe State House of Assembly has supported 30 People Living with Disability (PLWD) each with the sum of N10,000 as educational support.
Ahmed Haruna Daya, Legislative Assistant to the lawmaker disclosed this to newsmen shortly after the brief ceremony in Potiskum Town.
According to him, this is seen as a way of addressing and responding to the diverse needs of all children, youth and adults through increasing participation in learning, cultural and community affairs, and also reducing and eliminating exclusion within and from education.
"Promoting inclusion means stimulating discussion, encouraging positive attitudes and improving educational and social frameworks to cope with new demands in education structures and governance. It involves improving inputs, processes and environments to foster learning both at the level of the learner in his/her learning environment and at the system level to support the entire learning experience as contained in UNESCO charter".
Other supports rendered by Bazuwa includes donation of the sum of N300,000 as contribution for the construction of a Mosque in Arikime, Dogo Nini Ward in Potiskum town.
The lawmaker's SA said his boss "also donated N100,000 to the Almajiri's learning centre at Tsangayar Malam as demanded. He has also donated the Sum Of N100,000 for the repair of electricity Transformer in Rose Line Near Government Secondary School, Potiskum.
" He also embarked on the electrification of an abandoned completed water borehole that is lacking source of power lines, rehabilitation of boreholes at Garin Kariya, Unguwar Jaji Primary School, Gabar da gidan Major Kambiya, T-junction Layin Abdu Bodori. NNL.
