Nigerians will not forget in a hurry how the APC swept the behemoth PDP out of power and rob the party of its claim as the biggest political platform in the African continent. The PDP's false claim is not that of numerical strength but of power and abused of power that led to their total rejection by Nigerians.

As the opposition PDP continues to shatter and tatter becoming the shadow of itself, the APC, a progressive and governing party today commands the kind of strong numerical strength spread across the country.

No doubt, Governor Mai Mala Buni and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee will go down in history as the great leader in making the largest political party in Africa. Under the leadership of Governor Buni led CECPC, the APC is now strategically in the position as the largest political party in the African continent. This is not grandstanding but stating the obvious.

Governor Buni has rebuild and reposition the govering party as the largest political party in the whole of Africa after its recent membership registration and revalidation exercise recorded a huge 41 million registered and verifiable members across the country.

APC remains Africa’s largest political party and Nigeria’s governing party with a population that will always win elections. You can tell to anyone that the APC will win the 2023 presidential election convincingly irrespective of where it picks its presidential candidate from.

Let it be on record that, out of the 84 million currently registered eligible voters in Nigeria, the governing APC controls about 52% of all eligible voters in the country as members, leaving the remaining mushroom parties with a little over 43 million voters to share.

As we move to the 2023 general elections, the APC ranks will continue to swell. The scramble for positions by members at all levels is an indication of its acceptance, strength and success. The increasing defection and growth in acceptance of the party gives room for more aspirations among party members. This also demonstrates the increasing strength of the party in every part of the country.

In fact, one of the advantages of the Ward, Local and State Congresses is the exhibition of readiness and commitment by members willing to serve the party in various capacities. This is happening at a time when members of the opposition PDP were awash on the social media with fabrications of falsehoods that APC is losing acceptance from the same people who we see today aspiring for various offices in the governing party.

Again, people have seen the growing population of the party and active participation in the Congresses across the country, especially in PDP controlled states. Before now, belonging to APC in some of these states was seen as a taboo but now, we have recorded geometrical growth of membership in these states.

As the Governor Buni continues to reposition the party leading to the national convention and the 2023 general elections, the APC will sort out every problem and remain united to work for the success of the party. We are every day getting improved understanding, solidarity and cohesion. Thus, APC will continue to wax stronger and victorious and remains the largest political party in Africa.
