The Taraba State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress APC) in Lau Local Government Area of the state, has issued a suspension to Mallam Musa Umar, the party chairman, for alleged anti-party conduct and corruption.
A press statement by the Council Party Vice Chairman, Mr. Musa Eli Bamga, said the chairman has been working against party since 2021.
According to release it reads, “The APC Lau local Government executive having observed the behavior of the local government Chairman in person of Mallam Musa Umar, discovered that he is found wanting in Anti-party behavior, denial of welfare meant for local government excos and wards excos”.
“Since 2021 to date, he has never called for any meeting, and many other short comings. If we allow this trend to continue, it will demoralize our supporters before 2023 general elections which will lead to a general electoral set back for our great party, the All progressive Congress (APC) Lau local government area Taraba State”, the statement reads.
The Chairman, Mallam Musa Umar, was suspended from the office with immediate effect and was directed to hand over all party properties in his possession to the Vice Chairman. NNL.
