Former Abuja Politics Editor of the Daily Independent and LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Mr Donald Ojogo, at the weekend election, trounced incumbent member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Kolade Akinjo, and won the election seat for the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, Ondo state.
Soft spoken Ojogo, an immediate-past Commissioner for Information in Ondo State in the governor Rotimi Akeredolu's administration, is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while Akinjo is a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon. Akinjo is seeking a re-election for a third time in the National Assembly. Hon. Donald Ojogo was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
Ojogo polled a total of 26,306 while Akinjo scored 22,390 votes. NNL.
