A senatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Ebonyi South senatorial district, Hon. Linus Abaa Okorie, has, allegedly been abducted by unknown persons.
Okorie was allegedly kidnapped early Sunday morning on his way to his house in Abakaliki by some alleged gunmen yet to be identified. Party members, close associates and family members of Okorie believe, very strongly, that his whereabout has political undertone. His phones lines have been unreachable.
A professional tracking done on his lines reviewed "Okoja Road, near Police Headquarters", as his location as at Sunday evening. The second line showed "Ebun-Nwana, Edda.
Recall that Hon. Linus Abaa Okorie is the Candidate of Labour party for Ebonyi South Senatorial district, contesting against the incumbent Governor - David Umahi.
A statement on behalf of the alleged kidnapped Linus Okorie by one Dr David Ogbonna, urged the security agencies to rescue the said abducted Linus Okorie and also track down his alleged kidnappers.
"We, employ our supporters, CaringHeart members, and friends of Hon. Linus not to give into unlawful acts but allow the security men do their professional jobs", the statement said. NNL.
