The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has reaffirmed his administration's readiness to continue protecting the image and integrity of the traditional institutions in the state to enable them contribute positively to the societal development.
The governor spoke while welcoming the first-class Emirs and their District Heads in the six Emirates Councils of the state led by the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, who paid him a congratulatory visit.
He expressed gratitude to the Emirs and the other traditional rulers for their support of his administration, saying he will not take it for granted.
Governor Mohammed then assured them that he will consolidate his administration's gains in the first tenure by working assiduously to deliver on his campaign promises for the overall development of the state.
In their separate remarks, the Emirs of Bauchi and that of Katagum, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, congratulated Governor Bala Mohammed on his victory in the just concluded elections, and assured him of their continued support and cooperation for improvement in the delivery of dividends of democracy.
