The 2024 Bauchi State Polo Tournament has ended with renewed vigour to encourage and support many youth in Nigeria to participate in annual events, especially for those that have interest in Polo games to join as beginners
The Bauchi state Polo President, CSP Usman Abdullahi stated this during the presentation of trophies at final day of this year's Bauchi Polo tournament with MalcoMines of Jos defeated their arch rival DOKAJI Farms of Bauchi by 9 to 7 points which allows them to defend the Governor's trophy once again.
The two teams have shown resilient in the field while playing the finals encounter of the 2024 Bauchi Polo tournament.
This year's Tournament has witnessed sports stakeholders and Polo administrators across the state and beyond, while the spectators and also the participating players from far and near were at the tournament.
According to organizers this year tournament has witnessed 24 matches with the week of 2024 Bauchi Polo tournament, while players who participated in the tournament representing different clubs speaks on the development and shared their experiences while playing Polo games in Nigeria
Dauda Halliru Jika of Dokaji Farms, Fernando Hanandez from MalcoMines and Major A.M Mairuwa Captain of the 3 Div Jos Polo Team, said they're excited and happy as the games started well and end without experiencing any casualties.
They however commended the organisers especially the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed for his support to the tournament. NNL.
