The Bauchi State Police Command says public cooperation played a key role in the successes recorded in crime prevention and detection across the state in 2025.
Reviewing its performance, the Command PPRO, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed that 1,532 suspects were arrested in connection with 881 criminal cases, with 124 convictions secured after prosecution. Hundreds of cases are still pending in court.
The Police said arms, ammunition, stolen vehicles, motorcycles, livestock and other exhibits were recovered through intelligence-driven operations, raids and patrols across the state.
The Command noted that the estimated value of recovered properties stood at ₦54.2 million, stressing that effective collaboration between the police, sister security agencies, community leaders and residents contributed significantly to the achievements.
While appreciating the support of the public, the Command assured residents of enhanced security measures in 2026, including improved intelligence gathering and protection of critical infrastructure across Bauchi State. NNL.
