The youth of Donga local government area of Taraba state has called on Ali Nicodemus Ikizenden Emmokene, the state Director of Finance, to contest in the upcoming 2023 general election as a member representing Donga in the State Constituency, citing him as the man of moment renowned for equity.
The call was made at Kumbo ward of Donga local government on Thursday, where a mammot crowd welcomed him to the town and danced in support of him.
Speaking to some of the youth, they describe Emmokene as a man with his people at heart, a rare personality who prioritizes other's needs more than his. They described him as the man fit to wear the cap in the coming 2023 general election.
Emmokene who delightedly asserts that the call was a just one, stated that the priority of his people has been his target. He stressed that it has been his commitment to see that he puts smiles on people's faces.

According to him: "I received a call to contest, and I'm in town to honor the request. My people knew exactly what I can do. I think that's the main motive for calling me out.
"I have always been close to them to know areas of their needs. I've rendered help. I personally, sometimes, on my own goodwill, provide farm products and fertilizers to the commons.
"I gainfully see that our graduates get employed, gives scholarship to people who couldn't afford to go to school. They say, maybe, that I can do more than that, and that's why they all came out to tell me to contest, and I have agreed to do that", he said.
Speaking to some of the residents who rallied support for Emmokene, they both attest to the goodwill of Emmokene to his people, and they said they have seen it as a mandate for him to do more. The residents however thanked him for his kind gestures and wishes he did more. NNL.
