Facts have emerged that the former deputy governor of Adamawa state, Mr Crowther Seth, who was sacked on Thursday by his boss, governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on account of his alleged disloyalty to the governor, coupled with his alleged unpopularity in his area and claims of his bias in communal clashes.
The deputy Governor was accused of bias in the raging communal clashes between the Lunguda and Waja ethnic nationalities in Guyuk local government. It was reported that he supported Waja in the fight that has produced hundreds of casualties.
Before the sacking of the deputy governor, there have been rumors that he will soon be dumped for another deputy governorship candidate by the Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri.
Fintiri recently dumped his former deputy, Crowther Seth and settled for a female University Don, Professor Kalatepwa Farauta, who, until her appointment, was the Vice Chancellor of the Adamawa State University, Mubi.
Professor Kelatapwa Farauta was picked as running mate for the 2023 governorship selection in Adamawa. Before her appointment as VC of Adamawa State University, she was a Commissioner of Education when governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was acting Governor.
She also served as the Executive chairman of Universal Basic Education in Adamawa before her appointment as commissioner of Education.
Professor Kelatapwa Farauta hails from Numan local government area, the same southern zone, while the sacked former Deputy Governor is from Lamurde Local Government Area.
Similarly, the All Progressive Congress APC gubernatorial flagbearer, Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani has also picked Hon. Titsi Ganama as her running mate for the 2023 governorship election in Adamawa.
Titsi Ganama, a former House of Representatives member, hails from the Northern senatorial zone of the state, the same zone as Governor Fintiri. NNL.
