Sokoto State Governor and a 2023 presidential aspirant of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has visited Taraba state PDP delegates and assured them that he is the most qualified candidate for Nigeria's presidency who has the leadership qualities to rule Nigeria in 2023.
Tambuwal who was received by the Taraba state governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku at the government house in Jalingo, says he has worked for peaceful co-existence in Sokoto State by bringing both people from different tribes and religious background together, and plan to replicate such effort if elected the president.
Tambuwal asserts that "I've worked for peaceful coexistence in Sokoto, you can ask Bishop Matthew Kukah. He can attest to that. I'm very conversant with the situation of Nigeria. You must exhibit equal treatment to all Nigerians which the present administration lacks.
"During my tenure as the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, my successor, didn't support me to be the speaker then, but during his tenure, I brought him in because I know he's competent. I was not planning to steal money likewise I would have endorsed my candidate, but I didnt, because I was not a Speaker based on sentiment or bias.
"This is all about bringing everyone together. Nigerian government lack ability to be fair, both in appointment, and infrastructural development. Nigeria has never been devided like now. I possess the right qualities for leadership", Tambuwal claimed.
He also added that the APC government has caused more harm to the economy than expected. He however urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emiefele, to resign if he really wants to be president of Nigeria.
The Taraba state governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku while responding to his visitor, said Tambuwal is a humble human. He stated that when they were to choose a leader in PDP, he said there's nobody better than governor Tambuwal.
He told the delegates to be mindful of their choice of candidate, stating that Tambuwal is the candidate he presents. According to him, the PDP has to make a decision to change the narrative in Nigeria. He stated that USA will be next to Nigeria if we really know what we're doing as a country.
"Nigeria lacks leadership. We need a right leader. We must make the decision and PDP has everything to put this country on the benchmark", he said.
Also speaking, the Tambuwal Campaign Director General, Nicolas Msheliza, while presenting his principal, said Taraba state is a very significant part of North East and it is here they decided to start their journey. He stated that they have few weeks to the primary election, urging the delegates to choose wisely who will liberate Nigeria.
In his words, he said: "We need someone who is development oriented. Aminu Tambuwal doesn't blow his trumpet. His colleagues at the federal house of representatives still speak highly about him. Aminu Tambuwal is not too young to run nor too old to run. Aminu Tambuwal is our own. Hen is the most successful Speaker Nigeria ever had. Tambuwal's government will not have cabal, we will built together", he stated. NNL.
