The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has re-arraigned Prof. Uche Chigozie Edwin before Justice Dehinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos for allegedly defrauding maize farmers to the tune of N1,473,367,046.04 (One Billion, Four Hundred and Seventy-three Million, Three Hundred and Sixty-seven Thousand, Forty-six Naira, Four Kobo only).

The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arraigned Ajayi Oluwabukola Temitope before an Oyo State High Court for allegedly obtaining N58, 458, 000.00 (Fifty-eight Million, Four Hundred and Fifty-eight Thousand Naira) by false pretence from her victims.

A Second Prosecution Witness, PW2, in the trial of Nwachi Chidozie Kingsley, being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for defrauding an American, Nicole Kierulff Sayers the sum of $370,000( Three Hundred and Seventy Thousand United States Dollars) in a contrived marriage, Okanne Kelechi, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 told Justice U.P Kekemeke of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court, Maitama, Abuja that the EFCC has recovered the sum of $13,204.00 (Thirteen Thousand, Two Hundred and Four United States Dollars) from the defendant.
