The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has clarified that the tightness in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) currently being experienced in some areas across the country is as a result of logistics issues and that they have been resolved. The NNPC Limited also reiterate that the prices of petroleum products are not changing. It urges Nigerians to avoid panic buying as there is a sufficiency of products in the country. Meanwhile keen on optimising production from the nation’s hydrocarbon assets to boost revenues and meet the nation’s OPEC production quota, the NNPC Limited and its Joint Venture partner in the Awoba Unit Field, Newcross Exploration and Production Limited, have restarted production from the Awoba field which last contributed production to the Bonny Terminal in 2021 and was finally shut down in February 2022 due to evacuation issues and crude oil theft.
