- Food Producers Describe The New Agric Tech As "Magic From The Sky' For Boosting Their Farm Yield
By Celestine Okafor (Editor-in-chief)
NISSCORP and the Kaduna Agricultural Development Agency (KADA) are set to jointly convene a Validation Workshop for SENTINEL X™, the world's first commercially deployed photonic crop protection system.
The worship which will hold in Kaduna, North West, Nigeria on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, will signpost what is set to become one of the most consequential agricultural innovation launch in Nigeria.
NISSCORP, a US-based agricultural technology solution company is the facilitator and driver of the project, in collaboration with the Kaduna Agricultural Development Agency (KADA).
In a public statement on Monday June 29, 2026, NISSCORP and KADA jointly announced that the Validation Workshop being convened for the formal launch and commercial rollout of Sentinel X™, will showcase a photonic information-based crop protection and plant nutrition system already protecting more than 450,000 hectares across Africa, with zero chemicals, zero on-farm hardware, and zero disruption to existing farming practice.
The landmark event will bring together Nigeria's most consequential agricultural voices under one roof, from the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, to agricultural agencies, development partners, and the farmers whose livelihoods this technology is already transforming across the continent.
THE CRISIS SENTINEL X TECHNOLOGY WAS DEVELOPED TO SOLVE
The Nigeria's agricultural sector bleeds billions of naira every year to a crisis that has no single face but wears many, Fall Armyworm devastation that can erase 70% of a maize crop overnight, pesticide costs that consume a third of smallholder income, chemical residues poisoning soil and waterways for generations, and a dependency on imported agrochemical inputs that leaves farmers permanently vulnerable to global price shocks and supply chain collapse.
The human toll is staggering. Across sub-Saharan Africa, pest-related crop losses cost farmers an estimated $3–5 billion annually. In Nigeria alone, Fall Armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda), which invaded the continent in 2016, now threatens virtually every maize-producing state. The smallholder farmer who produces over 80% of Nigeria's food, bears the disproportionate brunt: unable to afford adequate pesticide coverage, exposed to unsafe application practices, and trapped in a cycle of yield loss and mounting debt that erodes food security from the ground up.
WHAT IS SENTINEL X™? THE WORLD'S FIRST PHOTONIC CROP PROTECTION SYSTEM AND MAGIC FROM THE SKY AS FARMERS CALL IT
Sentinel X™ is a quantumbiology powered platform built to sense plant condition by reading realtime biofield signals from plants. It detects biological stressors long before symptoms ever appear. As it continuously monitors crops, its AI interprets subtle shifts in plant vitality and instantly delivers targeted, non-chemical treatments that restore balance without harming soil, water, or surrounding ecosystems.
The result is a living shield for agriculture as it provides a proven micronutrient supplementation benefit, one that boosts resilience, strengthens vitality, and elevates yield and quality, all while keeping farms cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable.
TESTED, VALIDATED AND PROVEN BY KADUNA FARMERS
SENTINEL X™ is not theoretical. It is not a laboratory prototype. It is a commercial-scale deployment with a documented track record across diverse African farming environments.
According to Mohammed Jubril, a maize farmer based in Kaduna, Nigeria, "We didn't believe it at first. How can such an invisible technology function? To my greatest surprise, after two weeks, there was no single trace of Fall Armyworms, the leaves were greener. We call it Magic from the Sky, because that is what it is."
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE VALIDATION WORKSHOP ON SENTINEL X
The proposed Validation Workshop in Kaduna on Wednesday July 1, 2026, represents the formal convergence of evidence, policy, and commercial intent around SENTINEL X™. It is designed not merely as a showcase, but as a decisive, action-oriented platform for maize growers to engage, validate, and commit to the large-scale deployment of SENTINEL X™.
WHO WILL BE AT THE EVENT
The high-level event will be attended by agricultural decision makers across various sectors. The notable personalities, agencies and institutions include the kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Kaduna State, Directors of Agricultural Development Programmes (ADPs), Institute of Agricultural Research (IAR) Zaria, agricultural policy agencies and parastatals, commercial and smallholder farmer associations. The Kaduna Agricultural Development Agency (KADA) will be hosting the workshop.
KADA's mandate is to transform Kaduna's agricultural output at scale. SENTINEL X™, a most compelling, evidence-backed technology that have been evaluated, according to Mohammed Rili, the General Manager of Kaduna Agricultural Development Agency (KADA), will he proudly hosted at the occasion. NNL.
