The Emir of Lame in Bauchi State, Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful despite the economic hardship and deprivation confronting citizens across the country.
The monarch spoke in a goodwill message to Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on the occasion of the governor's 68th birthday anniversary.
In the statement issued by his Chief of Staff, Babangida Suleiman Lame, the Emir expressed optimism that Almighty Allah would restore hope to Nigerians and guide the country towards peace, progress and prosperity.
He called on leaders to provide good governance and ensure that Nigeria's abundant resources were used to improve the lives of citizens.
The Emir said it was unacceptable for a country blessed with abundant natural and human resources to have a large number of its citizens experiencing hardship and deprivation.

He expressed optimism that, at the appropriate time, Almighty Allah would remember the country, restore hope to its people and put Nigeria on the right path.
