SOKOTO GOV APPROVES VERIFICATION, SALARY PAYMENT FOR 3,100 NEW STAFF

Sokoto state governor, Ahmed Aliyu, on Wednesday, constituted committee for the verification and subsequent payment of over 3000 staff newly employed into the State Civil Service.

The 10 member ommittee is to be chaired by the State Head of Service, Abdulkadir Ahmad while the State Deputy Accountant General, Junaidu. U. Junaidu is to serve as the Secretary.

Others members or the committee include,Gandi Umar Mohammad, representative of Civil Service Commission, and that of the State Auditor General, as well representative of the local government Auditor General, that of Teachers Service Board, Nigeria Labour Congress, while Abdulmajid Sidi from the Ministry of Finance and the Director Administration and General Services, Shehu Abdullahi.

A statement by Abubalar Bawa, the Special Advise to governor Ahmed Aliyu quoted the governor as giving the committee 4 weeks to submit their report.

Bawa also listed terms of refrence of the committee to include verifying all staff posted to the various MDAs reported to their duty and ensure that salaries are paid to all who have reported. NNL.
