As the 2026 National Police Day enters D-2, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Tuesday, led top officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force on a walkathon from the Police Force Headquarters, Asokoro, Abuja to the Unity Fountain, in commemoration of the event.
The event themed “Together We Walk, Together We Secure”, brought together police personnel and members of the public in a display of unity and shared commitment to promoting peace, security, and community partnership.
The walkathon, which is being replicated across all state and zonal Commands and Formations nationwide, forms part of activities lined up to mark the National Police Day occasion, aimed at enhancing physical fitness and strengthening police-community relations.
The Abuja Walkathon exercise went smoothly amidst cheers from members of the public. NNL.
