Governor Bala Mohammed has pledged to consolidate on ongoing development efforts in Bauchi State following a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration held in the state.
Speaking after observing Eid prayers at the Bauchi Central Eid Ground, the governor said his administration remains committed to improving security and advancing infrastructure and social intervention programmes to ease citizens’ hardships.
He noted that the peaceful Sallah celebration underscores progress made in addressing recent security challenges, particularly in Alkaleri Local Government Area, while commending security agencies for their role in restoring stability.
Mohammed reiterated the need for sustained vigilance among residents, stressing that security is a collective responsibility requiring cooperation between government and the public.
He also extended warm Eid greetings to the Muslim Ummah, describing the occasion as a time for unity, reflection and renewal of faith.
Delivering his sermon, the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Imam Bala Baban Inna, called on Muslims to uphold the values of Ramadan beyond the fasting period, emphasizing compassion, charity and peaceful coexistence. NNL.
