People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant and governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, said if elected as president of Nigeria, he will establish the state police and end insecurity in the country within 6 Months.
Speaking at the Taraba state exco chambers while addressing the party's delegates in Jalingo the state capital, he said Nigerians need a courageous and fearless leader that has the capacity to tackle insecurity, banditry and hunger facing the nation.
According to him "I don't believe that a bomb blast in a train station or anywhere killing innocent people is the will of God, Satan is working tirelessly, and he has his agents, and APC are his agents" he said.
Wike dragged the Federal Government for their perceived inability to tackle the problems facing the nation, promising to restore the hope of Nigerians who are in need of help.
The Presidential aspirant who is also the Governor of Rivers State commended Governor Darius Ishaku for his effort in constructing the Jauro Yinu to Pantinafu dual carriage road with fly over and pedestal bridges.
Responding, Governor Darius Ishaku, described the Presidential Aspirant as a true party man and a committed stakeholder of the party since 1998, who has never defected from the party.
The Governor averred that Nigerians are in need of quality leadership which can only be provided by the PDP. He again advocated for State police to surmount insecurity challenges facing the nation.
Governor Darius Ishaku expressed confidence in the ability of the PDP to produce the next President of the Country.
Earlier, the Director General of the Nyesom Wike President Campaign Organization and former Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo, said they were in the State to canvass for votes from Taraba State delegates.
Dankwambo described the PDP Presidential Aspirant as a tested and trusted politician who has served as Local Government Chairman, Chief of Staff, Minister of State for Education and as present Governor of Rivers State.
He thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for according the team a warmth welcome.
A minute silence was observed for victims of recent bomb blast at Iware in Ardo Kola Local Government Area during the meeting.
Wike also paid a visit to the victims who are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center Jalingo before departing to Adamawa State.
The visit was graced by PDP senators from River State, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau, and other notable stakeholders which according to Wike, are the microcosm of Nigeria. NNL.
