In what has been described as a grand battle of power supremacy, aggrieved members of both PDP and APC have made a u- turn and dumped their parties in mass exodus' to the third force party, the New Nigeria People's Party, (NNPP).

Notable among the decampees are Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, an APC gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Danladi Sankara, also an APC stalwart who lost his seat to Babangida Hussein Kazaure as the party's North West Senatorial candidate; Hon. Bashir Adamu Kazaure who is also a PDP gubernatorial aspirant and his teeming supporter's have follow suit in dumping the PDP to NNPP.

Addressing a press conference in Dutse, Jigawa state capital, Jumbo stated that his own political strategy is politics of decency, ideology and restoration of human dignity. He added that "I won't allow my self to be deceived or teleguided through wrong actions which touches my personal integrity. I will rather pull out than to stay or to mortgage my self blindly in the hands of new breed politicians. I can't go contrary to something against the actual reality of politics of decency and respect for human dignity. I just want to be chipping words of advice in seeing that things are done perfectly.

According to him, "our defection was informed by lack of ideology, dictatorial tendency by those who claimed to be leader's in our former party, the PDP, without reasoning or accepting their mistakes in allowing correction's where necessary.

In his remarks, Senator Sabo Nakudu a former APC gubernatorial aspirant said "our defection was clear and straight forward. Least among the ills of our former party APC, was forced imposition, dishonesty, lack of fear of God and dictatorship of our Governor, in enforcing decision making, whether good or bad, due to tendency to being power drunk, among other lapses.

It was reliably gathered that as this grand move is gaining momentum, there is tendency that such actions could be a threat to wrestle power from the ruling APC by the NNPP.

Contacted for comment, the Secretary of jigawa APC, Mohammed Dukuma, however debunked the story of defection of members to other party as blatant lies. He said all what has been circulated were mere rumours and fictitious talk.

"We as party faithfuls respect each other. We move and act as a one family. We are intact without any divisions", he said.

On the issue of defections, the APC scribe said he had no idea of any defection by any member of our party. "All what I know is that we have set up 27 member reconciliation committee headed by Alj Bello Maitama Yusuf in reconciling all members that feel aggrieved in the just concluded APC primary congress's, among other impending issues bedeviling the party for a way forward", he stated.
