Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has clinched the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressive Party (APC) in the the just concluded party primary election where he was declared the winner by the Chairman of the governorship primary election committee, Lawrence Onochukwu.
In a press briefing on Friday May 27, 2022 in Jalingo, the state capital, he said APC is a place to be, as he will hit the ground running ahead of the 2023 general election.
According to him, the state has been standing on a precipice, and his emergence as the flagbearer of the APC, is a positive move to shape the state.
In his words: " I appeal to my fellow contestants to sheath their swords and imbibe the spirit of sportmanship, but at a designated interval, I am going to reach out to all the aspirants collectively, because naturally one must emerge as the winner, because this is not a do-or-die affairs.
"This victory is not about my self, it my collective task to restore the state pass glory. I am a team player, and we will set the ground smooth for all hands to be on deck to achieve the noble objective come 2023" he said.
Senator Bwacha further stressed that he accept the offer as the party flagbearer and pledge to work in harmony with those who contested with him.
He also assured that he will find a way to close the ranks and find a new roadmap for the APC which has long been in the opposition. He craved the indulgence of all in the governorship contest to sheath their swords so that they would bring glory to the party at the general elections. NNL.
