The gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, retired Col. Agbu Kefas, has assured Taraba citizens that the insecurity bedeviling the state will be a thing of the past if he becomes governor.
He made this call during a warm welcome reception held for him in Jalingo, Taraba State capital on Thursday. The reception was organized by the state PDP caucus where he said he will bring his military experience in tackling the security challenges in the state.
Kefas said: “My job is to restore Taraba, and I thank the leader of the party for their efforts. I want to assure you that we're one family and I'll not let Taraba down. I'll build on what is already existing and I'll will bring my experience as a military officer to change the security challenges and make insecurity a thing in the past. I'll also bring all the religious body together and I also believe the best is yet to come”, he said.
The governor who was represented by his deputy Engr. Haruna Manu, stressed that PDP winning the governorship poll means victory for all Tarabans. “We will deliver PDP from top to bottom. It's not time for us to rest. We need to work and then celebrate after the election victory. We need to go to the poll with zeal and desperation that we want to win.
“We want a landslide victory that will discourage the opposition from going to court. And we need to do everything to make Atiku Abubakar win the presidential election because Nigerians are yearning for positive change. Atiku will complete the Mambila power project”.
The Taraba State PDP chairman, Inuwa Bakari, further applauds the Supreme Court judgment and assured that PDP will maintain it winning streak under his tenure in Taraba. NNL.
