DOYIN OKUPE INTERCEPTED BY DSS, HANDED OVER TO EFCC

The Department of State Services (DSS), on Thursday, intercepted former Presidential spokesman, Dr Doyin Okupe, at Terminal 1 of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, on his way to London.

A brief statement on Thursday January 12, 2023 by Dr Peter Afunnanya, the reputation manager of the DSS, confirmed that the State Security Organization apprehended Okupe on Thursday morning at the instance of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and promptly handed him over to the Commission.

Afunnanya stated that the EFCC "requested for the action". According to the Service Spokesman of the, Okupe was billed to fly to London via Virgin Atlantic Airline. NNL.
